    Clean room technology owes its origins to the race between the USA and the USSR for the leading position in space travel. At a time in which the American rockets had a limited thrust, weight was an important factor in design and consequently miniaturization of the mechanical, hydraulic and electronic components was an essential part of developmental strategies.

    In order to produce and assemble the small and minute components, it was necessary to carry out the work in a dust and particle-free environment. In conventional »clean rooms« the air purity has the required quality immediately behind the air intake filter. The air purity at the work place is, however considerably less.

    This situation leaded to the design of the Laminar-Flow system.

    Laminar-Flow technology enables an almost complete control and removal of all air-borne particles to be achieved!

    Ventilation and conditioning of a clean room with a defined periphery and a continual air current from the clean room into the surroundings.

    Ventilation
    Air is drawn from the outside of the building, conditioned and passed into the clean room through HEPA filters. This air flows through all openings and the air-lock to the outside and prevents the uncontrolled entry of air-borne contamination into the clean zone.

Part of the air in the sterile corridor flows through the clean-room to the air withdrawal area, the rest flows through all other openings to the outside. This prevents the uncontrolled entry and release of air-borne contamination.
